Stress Management Classes
Stress management classes run for 6 consecutive weeks 2-3 times per year.  Greg Morro and Barbara O'Connor teach the class, using a behavioral approach (i.e., particularly examining the antecedents and consequences of specific problem behaviors), and stressing proactive techniques to reduce stress.

In the Fall of 2010, we used Boundaries as a guide. 

Boundaries

-       define what is me and what is not me

      

What does a boundary look like?

-       fence around a house

-       needs gates to let good in, bad out

 

Examples

-       words “no”

-       honesty

-       geographical distance

-       time

-       other people

-       consequences

 

within boundaries

-       feelings, beliefs, behaviors, choices, values, thoughts, desires, love

 

problems:             saying yes to bad

saying no to good 

do not ask for help
